Life insurance to protect the people who depend on you
If something happened to you, who would cover the mortgage or rent, school and day-to-day expenses? Life insurance exists for that: it leaves a benefit to the people you choose.
Tell me what you need
I will contact you by phone or text, whichever you prefer. It is free and there is no obligation.
Term or permanent
Neither is better than the other. It depends on how long you need coverage and on your budget.
Term
- Covers a defined period, for example 10, 20 or 30 years.
- Usually costs less at the start for the same coverage.
- Does not build cash value.
- When the term ends, the coverage ends or the premium may rise.
Permanent
- Designed to cover you for life, as long as the required premiums are paid.
- Builds cash value, depending on the type of policy.
- The initial premium is usually higher.
- IUL is a type of permanent insurance (see the IUL page).
Situations where it is usually considered
- You are a parent and your family depends on your income.
- You have a mortgage, debts or a business that others would have to take over.
- You want to cover final expenses so they do not fall on your family.
- You want to leave a legacy to your children or grandchildren.
What it can offer
- A death benefit for the people you name as beneficiaries.
- With term insurance, a premium that does not change during the chosen term.
- The option of permanent coverage if you need it for life.
What you should review
- The price depends on your age, health and habits, and the policy requires approval from the insurer (underwriting).
- Coverage ends if you stop paying premiums.
- In the first years (contestability period), the insurer may review the application in more detail.
- Policies have exclusions and limits; read them before buying.
Questions about life insurance
How much coverage do I need?
There is no single number. People usually consider their debts, the income their family would need to replace, future expenses such as education, and final expenses. In the consultation we work it out together.
Do I need a medical exam?
It depends on the insurer, your age and the coverage amount. Some options do not require an exam, but they may have coverage limits or cost more.
Can I change from term to permanent later?
Some term policies include the option to convert to permanent, with rules and deadlines set by each contract. It is an important question to ask before buying.
